An introduction to the identification and ecology of dormice, protective legislation, survey techniques, survey standards, results and mitigation measures. The course will be very much practical - top tips on how to set out survey kit, plenty of opportunities for checking survey kit and a focus on what consultant ecologists often get ‘wrong’ when dormice influence development. Habitat management will also be covered. Thus the course should suit all those listed below.
