Learn how to take solid, focused action (materiality) to minimise environmental, economic & social impacts by employing the world’s most widely used standards. Identify-Measure-Manage-Change

2-day FBRH GRI Standards Certified IEMA Approved Course

Ideal for professionals wishing to take advantage of the growing demand for sustainability reporting

Companies around the world must report, because it is becoming mandatory (EU Directive 2014/95/EU, Stock Exchange requirements) and because of supply chain pressure or pressure by consumers/investors.

The GRI Standards are a holistic, structured, and methodical approach which is used by 80% of the worlds largest 250 companies. Whether you are seeking to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or need to implement a sustainable development plan for your company, the GRI Standards guide you every step of the way to identify and implement the decisions that matter. Most importantly, detailed requirements and guidance are provided, so you can begin to take action to minimise your impacts but also impacts within your supply chain.

Course Dates:

With a GRI Standards-based Sustainability Report you will be able to demonstrate that you are taking solid and focused action (materiality)

You will be able to demonstrate:

  1. that you have already identified your most important impacts, the effect your company has on the economy, the environment, and/or society, which in turn can illustrate your organization’s contribution to sustainable development
  2. the real actions you are specifically and continually taking to minimise negative and increase positive impacts

You will be using the GRI Standards, a holistic, structured and methodical approach to identify, measure, manage and change, and demonstrate your company’s positive contribution to the world.

The aim of the course is to get you to start reporting ASAP in accordance with the GRI Standards. At the end of the 2-day course you will be able to:

  • Easily navigate and confidently use the GRI Standards.
  • Know what is required to prepare a report in accordance with the GRI Standards.
  • Understand how to proceed and identify the most important impacts which you should be dealing with (materiality).

  • Employ the best ways to proceed with stakeholder engagement. Stakeholders are the entities or people you are affecting with your operations and who may, in turn, hold you back or stop you from reaching your objectives.
  • Develop focused and high-quality report content. You will learn how to prepare a lean report that is not a box ticking exercise, a report that demonstrates that you are making a difference using the structured and methodical approach of the GRI Standards.
