Course: Amphibian ID and Surveying Methods
Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC)
As part of ARC's 'Saving Scotland's
Amphibians and Reptiles' (SSAAR) project, we will be running a series of virtual (via Teams)
training events covering UK amphibian and reptile species.
The first course 'amphibian ID and survey methods' will be run over two sessions (one lunchtime and one evening). You can book the timeslot that suits you (the content is the same for both sessions). This online training session is suitable for beginners or those who want a refresher.
The training will run for approximately one hour and there will be time at the end for questions (15 min). This course focuses on species found in the UK but open to anyone who would like to join.
If you would like to attend this online training event, or find out about other ones please

About Amphibian and Reptile Conservation
The Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust (ARC) was established in June 2009, making its debut at the Hampton Court Flower Show with its Bronze Medal winning ‘Dragon’s Garden’. ARC was created around the core of the Herpetological Conservation Trust (HCT), in response to the wider needs of herpetofauna conservation, providing the UK focus for all aspects of reptile and amphibian conservation. Thus, ARC looks more broadly than the traditional focus on nature reserve management and rare species action plans and advocacy that had been the main reason for HCT’s formation in 1989.
