Thrive is proud to be co-convenor of the 16th International People Plant Symposium alongside the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the International People Plant Council (IPPC), the Horticultural Therapy institute and Konkuk University.

This conference serves as a cornerstone event in the field of horticulture and plant science, dedicated to exploring the profound impact of plants on human health and wellbeing, providing an excellent opportunity for learning and networking in this quickly emerging sector.

The ISHS is the world’s leading independent organisation of horticulturists and is a globally recognised and sought-after platform for research, information sharing and collaboration in support of sustainable innovation in horticulture.

Keynote speakers include Dr Rachel Bragg OBE, who has been the driving force in the development of the care farming sector in the UK for the last 15 years and is a passionate advocate of green care. She will be joined by the author of ‘The Well Gardened Mind’ psychiatrist and psychotherapist, Dr Sue Stuart Smith and Anna Baker Cresswell who founded the charity, HighGround to explore the benefits of Horticultural Therapy as an intervention for injured service personnel. In addition, Sam Alford, Head of Nature Connections at The Eden Project will be presenting.
