Our vision is a UK rich in native woods and trees for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland. Life really IS better with trees and we're looking for a Citizen Science Officer to help us realise this ambition.

The Citizen Science Officer manages our citizen science project Nature's Calendar. Volunteers across the UK record seasonal natural events, contributing to a long-term phenology database that is used by scientists in the UK and abroad. Specifically this post will manage day to day running of Nature's Calendar, managing volunteers, communications and data, and will work with the wider team on future development of the project.

We want you to love nature, wildlife and the environment and be keen to develop your own knowledge. You'll need to be an excellent organiser and communicator, able to manage a diverse workload and flexible enough to manage the changing needs of the organisation.

In return we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement.
