Are you looking for experience in the nature conservation sector to build up your CV?

We are looking for volunteers to help at our annual BioBlitz here at Lower Sharpham Farm, Totnes. This 24 hour wildlife survey is a public engagement event run from 12:00noon -12:00noon on Friday the 9th to Saturday the 10th June 2017.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside wildlife professionals and help contribute to a genuine scientific survey. We will be working with adults with learning difficulties, families and young children. You will arrive the evening before the event on Thursday the 8th to assist with tasks which include assisting with the running of wildlife activities for the public, including bird walks, small mammal trapping, nocturnal mammal talks, plant I.D, as well as marshalling and hospitality services. There will be a talk from a wildlife professional on the evening of the 9th where you will have the chance to ask questions about their career path. This will be a fantastic learning experience if you are looking to break into a career in nature conservation!

You will be arriving on Thursday the 8th June 2017 – the evening before the event. If you are arriving by train we can pick you up from the station at 17:30pm.
