Business Energy Efficiency Anglia (BEE Anglia) Advisor
Salary: Band 2 – Band 3 Scale points 8 - 13 £18,745 - £22,643 per annum depending on experience
Full-time until 31st December 2018
Location: Based in Norwich covering Norfolk
We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and dedicated BEE Anglia Advisor to deliver energy efficiency support to SMEs for our Business Energy Efficiency Anglia project which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project will drive growth in the low carbon economy by supporting SMEs across Suffolk and Norfolk to implement business energy efficiency initiatives through a single point of contact, tailored to business need. Participating SMEs will gain access to independent and impartial energy efficiency advice, grant funding, an environmental accreditation, an environmental leadership programme and specialist support. As a result, beneficiaries will deliver energy efficiency savings, reduce carbon emissions and realise the associated business benefits; reduced operating costs, competitiveness and business growth. BEE Anglia Advisors will key account manage SMEs throughout their participation in the project, ensuring consistent and personalised support. They will provide and / or leverage the support required to actually implement change and support SMEs to embrace and mainstream the environmental and energy efficiency agenda.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in delivering environmental management improvements through energy efficiency as well as in supporting organisations to reduce carbon. You will have experience of maintaining effective monitoring and recording systems, budgets and finance management and ideally ERDF project delivery. You will have an understanding and interest in environmental issues, including those affecting organisations. You will also have effective communication and social skills, a willingness to travel and enthusiasm and confidence at working with a wide range of client groups and partners. We’ll make sure you’re given all the support and guidance you need and you will have the opportunity to become part of a highly successful organisation making a real and positive difference to your local area.
There will be a requirement to travel to Suffolk on occasion and both positions will include some evening and weekend working as required. A full driving licence and access to a car is necessary.
