Would you like to have a long term beneficial impact on the landscape and wildlife of the North York Moors National Park?

This is an exciting opportunity to think creatively about how we can achieve new woodlands both now and in the future. This is a permanent post to deliver our ambitious long term woodland creation targets associated with the Woodsmith Mine’s Section 106 agreement.

We are looking for someone who has experience of developing substantial woodland schemes with private landowners and building up long term programmes of work. You will need to have a practical understanding of land management and woodland creation as well as drive and determination to achieve stretching targets.

To back this up, you will need to tell us about your;

  • Success in establishing new woodland sites.
  • Skills in persuading landowners to enter long term agreements.
  • Budget management skills.
  • Success in achieving challenging targets.
  • Positive experience of working in partnerships.

Based in Helmsley but with travel around the National Park.
