Recycling Advisor: £9.75 per hour

Recycling Advisor Team Leader: £10.75 per hour

Location: Primarily in the Barbican Estate within the City of London

Overview

The City of London is working with the Waste Services Team at Keep Britain Tidy to deliver a resident engagement campaign in March 2017 across the Barbican Estates within the City of London. The aims of the resident engagement campaign are to encourage residents to use the recycling services, increase the recycling rate and provide information to residents about the recycling, reuse and reduction services offered by the City of London.

We are looking for up to six Recycling Advisors, including one Team Leader, who will work 32.5 hours per week (worked over five days between Tuesday and Sunday) starting no earlier than 11am and finishing no later than 8pm.

The project will start with training on Wednesday 1 March and is expected to finish no later than Sunday 19 March (up to three weeks).

These positions will provide excellent experience for those looking for a career in the environmental sector, especially the waste and recycling industry, and are paid at or above the London Living Wage of £9.75 per hour (Recycling Advisor) or £10.75 (Team Leader).

Full training will be provided at the start of the project.
