Wildscapes is an environment consultancy offering Land Management, Ecology and related Services. As a social enterprise, trading profits are re-invested back into the charitable work of our parent company - the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust – helping to conserve nature and to inspire people about their local wildlife, green spaces & natural environment. Please refer to www.wildscapes.eu for more information about the services offered.

Building on a solid business foundation, with a good forward order book and excellent client base, we are looking for a highly capable and motivated Ecologist to work with our Consultancy Manager as they develop and lead the Wildscapes’ Ecology Service to the next level.

The role involves securing new work and delivering smaller ecology contracts, including extended phase 1 surveys and PEAs. Work will also include supporting the Consultancy Manager on larger projects, protected species work and Licensing. Co-ordinating volunteers and working with casual/seasonal staff, as well as ensuring a high level of health & safety and being able to communicate effectively with clients, are also key.

We are seeking an Ecologist with sound knowledge and expertise in delivering ecology contracts to a high standard in a commercial environment. We are looking for someone with a relevant qualification and 3 years’ experience in ecology contract delivery (for contracts in the order of £15k or less).

*This role is open to flexible working and so for the right candidate the post can be offered either as 0.8 FTE (4days/week) or a Full Time (5days/week)
