Are you passionate about nature and enjoy being part of a like-minded team?

Are you excited by working to secure thriving populations of important wildlife such as breeding Little Terns and Avocets, Water Voles and declining farmland birds such as Corn Bunting?

Would you be motivated by the opportunity to engage with and enthuse visitors and the local community about the reserves' special wildlife and the work of the RSPB?

Would you relish the opportunity to be a crucial part of a team managing a renowned complex of coastal wetlands.

Pagham Harbour and Medmerry are located on the Sussex coast and are of international importance for birds, so a knowledge of coastal habitats and species is essential.

Medmerry Managed Realignment site is the largest open coast realignment in the UK and is a new and establishing intertidal nature reserve, providing protection from flooding from the sea for hundreds of nearby houses and now attracting a wealth of important coastal wildlife.

If this sounds like you, the RSPB is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative person to join our Warden team at Pagham Harbour and Medmerry reserves.

You will take a key role in helping to manage a large and complex reserve operation. This will involve the delivery of objectives for species and habitat management and visitor experience. The role will also require supporting the site manager in working with multiple stakeholders including statutory agencies, landowners, farming tenants and supporter groups. We are looking for somebody with proven experience of involvement with delivering projects with both conservation and visitor experience outcomes.

So if you are passionate about wildlife and like to inspire others we would love to hear from you.
