This field-based workshop will introduce a wide range of commonly encountered lowland mosses and liverworts. Emphasis will be placed on teaching identification through the use of typical field characters visible with a hand-lens and through understanding the ecological preferences of different species. The East Knoyle area offers a mosaic of habitats which support a wide range of common grassland and woodland bryophytes.

No previous knowledge is required and this workshop will be suitable for beginners and improvers alike.
