The Lancashire Wildlife Trust (LWT) is the leading environmental charity in the region that stands up for wildlife, creates wildlife havens and inspires communities about the natural environment in our diverse urban and rural communities. LWT is the lead organisation for the Carbon Landscape, a Landscape Partnership Scheme. Although we expect this post to fit the ethos of the organisation, we will be seeking an individual who can represent the Carbon Landscape Steering Group, and who is best placed to drive forward a successful Landscape Partnership Scheme in accordance with HLF outcomes, seeking best value for money, ensuring commitment of all partners, and prioritising activity that best fits the shared vision for the Carbon Landscape.

We need an enthusiastic and committed Programme Manager to lead and manage ‘The Carbon Landscape’ on behalf of the steering group. Based at Three Sisters Recreation Area, at the heart of the Carbon Landscape, you will coordinate delivery of the Programme as presented in our Landscape Conservation Action Plan, ensuring a lasting legacy for generations to come. The post-holder will work in close co-operation with the Carbon Landscapes Steering Group, local interest and community groups and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for a dynamic, ‘can do’ attitude and passion for engaging and empowering a wide variety of beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders in the development, management and improvement of a landscape that will address opportunities and issues identified through the Landscape Character Assessment. You will have a strong environmental / heritage background combined with experience of project management and partnership working.
