We need a capable Landscape Partnership Manager to lead our Stage 2 Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Landscape Partnership bid. The successful candidate work closely with the Partnership of 30+ organisations to develop the proposal, secure match funding and prepare the documentation for the submission of the £2.18m Stage 2 bid.

Chalk, Cherries and Chairs Landscape Partnership focuses on the iconic chalk landscape of the Buckinghamshire Chilterns. The Chilterns is one of the most visited landscapes in Europe, nationally and internationally significant for its geology and ecology, rich in cultural heritage. But this is also a landscape under pressure. Housing and infrastructure growth is unprecedented; ancient woodlands are being divided up and sold off; wildlife habitats are severed and fragmented.

The issues are many but the Partnership, led by the Chilterns Conservation Board is committed and full of ideas. We are looking for an experienced Development Manager, with a strong track record of developing large, complex projects, good understanding of landscape issues and experience of fundraising. You must have strong relationship development and negotiation skills and a proven ability to complete tasks on budget and on time.

If you have a love of landscapes, history and wildlife and are keen to help the public get more involved in championing and caring for special places this is an excellent opportunity. The Chilterns Conservation Board offers 26 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays, a contributory pension scheme (Bucks County Council Local Government Pension Scheme) and 45p/mile mileage rate.

The post is offered as an fixed term contract to December 2018 initially plus a possible 5 year extension to manage the delivery of the Scheme, subject to a successful development phase. The post is full time, though part time options will be considered.

Closing date: 5 pm Wednesday 25th January 2017
Interview date: Thursday 2nd February 2017
